The beach is the biggest concern for me...I need a nice beach. I heard the beach at Temptations is small, and many of the chairs are reserved. I also hear it's very rocky and greenish because it's between two marinas. Can I get some constructive advice from people who have actually been there? And yes, the beach is a big deal to me, I know I'll want to spend all my time at the pool but I am just curious
Here are a couple pictures from September: We never actually went on the beach, but it looked nice with plenty of open chairs. There are big rocks everywhere along the Cancun coastline, but this is on the northern shore where there are far smaller waves, if any. And yes, it sits in between two marinas, but they are very far apart.
There's a beach? Seriously ,,though the sand is nice, but I wouldn't go in the water there , not many waves, some weeds , little open area's , boring for snorkling, If you want beaches go to Negril There,s tons of chairs, cause every one is at the pool, the center ones, along with the center beds are reserved for the premier members which is a huge waste cause they are always 95% empty, cause they go and party with the cool people at the pool. See you at the pool
I could never understand how anyone could depend so greatly on a "beautiful beach" to make their holiday. To us, service, food, entertainment and a great resort all around are what makes our experience the best. I have clients that say to me "we love cuba or punta cana, cause the beaches are sooo beautiful" but in the same breath they say the food was bad. Sorry! but if we go somewhere for a week AI the food, drinks and service have to be good. We went toa 4star in punta cana and the reviews on trip advisor were really good. Well we got there, nobody knows how to speak english-we couldn't even order a drink- without the staff looking at each other with a stunned look. The food was terrible but hey! The beach was beautiful! The beach at Temptation is very small. Don't expect to walk for miles on pristine beaches....there are always chairs on the beach cause nobody wants to miss the entertainment by the pool.:cheerleaders:
Picture clear blue water, white caps of waves waist high, sand that your feet sink into and running through the sand where it meets the water splashing your ankles up to your knees.... This is not TTR's beach! I LOVE TTR but we do not go there for the beach. I do have to say that the last time we went we did have chairs on the beach the entire week without a problem but we didn't go in the water. Just hung out played horse shoes and volleyball.
See this makes no sense to me. Why don't they make the central chairs and beds 'premier priority' i.e., open to everyone, but if a premier member wants one then they get priority and the non-premier have to move. I get the impression I'm going to have to get up super early to nab a seat at the beach in the non-premier area, when majority of the central ones are free. As far as I can tell, even with the marinas and the seaweed, the beach looks beautiful and far beyond anything we have over here on our brownish-sludge british beaches!
If having a nice beach is a serious Non-Negotiative for you then you may not be interested in Temptations. The beach is small, there is the occasional seaweed, and it is on the marina. For those of us who love the total atmosphere of Temptations...the beach is only part of Temptations. I am a Travel Agent and a Total Beach Bum and have been to bigger and better beaches but the fact of the matter is that I love Temptations....
There is always lots of room at the beach so don't worry at all! As for a the premier priority idea I don't think I would like it. I do have a premier membership but I know I wouldn't want to kick someone out of a chair or beach bed because I wanted their chair.
Beach is great and the water is clear enough to take a nice relaxing dip. M and I were able to go for a 1/2 hour run down and back all along the beach. It's gets us really thirsty and ready to tackle the pool bar. cheers
