For all the newbies, after you check in and they bring your "paper work" to the girls in the red dresses at the desks. Trust me, just walk right past them. The timeshare is nothing but a scam and there is no reason to stop there. Our last year they actually chased us out of the lobby. Once you pass the lobby doors they realize you're not stupid enough to fall for it.
Last year, our first year, we simply told them we already owned at another property. Deaded the convo immediately. Sorry can't afford two payments! Where's the bar again? TTR 7.19-7.26
I love Donald's creativity with this one for sure!! I just go with a max of three no thank yous and then just keep walking. They love following you out the door...I've even had them tell me all they wanted to tell me was that they had changed the dinner reservation policy...when I told her I was aware of that, she then challenged me to recite the number to call. I told her I was pretty sure there would be something in the room with that info.
I'm so using Donald's idea...I will look wide eyed at them and ask if it's OK if I am with my boyfriend and call my husband with the exciting offer? Note to self to take off my rings lol! Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
It wasn't that big of a deal. We sat down for five minutes while she gave us the resort info, then when she switched to the time share part, we just said we are absolutely not interested, and it was dropped. Same for the other people in our group that arrived 30 minutes later.
Rule number one is to never tell them you don't have time at the moment...you're on your way to meet friends for lunch or any other excuse like that. They will call your room nonstop to try to set up a breakfast meeting. If you don't want to meet with them...just tell them that up front and move on.
