Nope you don't have to be at all. If the activities going on at the main pool are too much, then you can head over to the quiet pool (which is just as nice) or the beach. Temptation is the best deal, plus being adults only you don't have to worry about children all over the place! It isn't as saucy as it makes out - only really during the 'games' that go on twice a day at the sexy (main) pool. There's shows at night that are a bit risque, but no worse than you'd see at any club, and you don't have to watch them. I think you'll have a blast. The service, food etc at Temptations is more than enough on its own to justify a trip there.
The general consensus is that you can be a outgoing and forward as you want or just hang out on the sidelines. It's a great time and you get as much out of it as you want to. People like myself have a great time and rarely leave the resort but the resort sets up a charter to a local club every night so there's always an option. I'd read some of the trip reports: Temptation Cancun Reviews This is one of the biggest repeater resorts in Cancun so that has to say something for it.

It's very open, very friendly, its oddly enough even family friendly, we ran into quite a few parents with adult children there last year (kids in 20's etc) .... I clearly remember one girl yelling out from the stage "dad don't watch" You'll have a great time, and it's not a bunch of perverts running around groping women ... Ok Sometimes ... but we don't call them perverts ... ANyways book the damned trip, go for the time period of the american thanksgiving and you will have a blast.

If you don't like to meet new people. If you don't like to laugh. If you don't like to dance. If you would prefer to sit and read a book throughout the vacation. If you find women without tops offensive, then it isn't for you.
