The wifi isn't particularly fast anywhere on the resort. You'd be better off having an ipod etc with the tunes you want on hand in my opinion Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk 2
I agree w Keith from a risk perspective. Just easier to bring a Bluetooth enabled speaker and play the music from your iPhone. However, in late April we were able to stream pandora on our jacuzzi room balcony using the resort wifi. The signal was just as strong that week at the sexy pool and sports pool. I have heard of it not being as good for other visitors at other times of the year but it worked for us. Good luck.
Streaming at the pools has recently been covered: http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/temptation-resort-cancun/27510-no-one-leaves-pool-pee.html
Kevin is working on his ipod music mixes for pool entertainment today. always good to have a few options
Chris, actually, the WiFi is pretty good in that area - since i"m such an early bird, i usually take my iPad down to the pool decks area and go do email/facebook/etc. from there. The signal is nice and strong in that area. That said, it is spotty from a reliability perspective, and the speed also depends on the total number of connections on the system - I don't think the resort has much bandwidth going in and out. Late afternoons and midmornings, it slows to a dead crawl. Late night at the sports pool, I think it would be pretty solid.
I have found the wifi is very questionable throughout the resort. I need the Internet for work purposes and purchased a card every day in June and found that it only worked in the lobby. While sitting in patty o, it would go in and out.
"Work" & "Paty'o's" should never be in the same sentence unless its something like "ooh that girl was WORKIN' it!"
Hopefully the internet is fast enough to Skype with the kiddo's... well, once we scout out an inconspicuous corner that makes it appear that we are at a "normal" resort.
