How accurate are the weather forecasts?! Calls for rain almost every day we are there

THIS sucks. We are there the eve of Dec 28 - Jan 4th and, according to this, it's supposed to rain almost every day!

 

Don't worry to much about, may rain some but probably not everyday, and not the whole day. You'll probably be having to much fun to notice a few drops of rain anyway.

 

I love the rain... as long as it isnt my entire vacation haha

Also heard the pools are back to freezing? WHY dont they keep them heated? People there last month said they were great. Someone posted that they were there last week and they were too cold to swim in. Boooo!

 

That forecast guide will drive you nuts. Its not a very reliable piece at all. I have been to Cancun 9 times and have never seen it rain an entire week. you will see the same guide in Cancun and there wont be a cloud in the sky. So try not to let that damper your vacation plans. My feeling is a rainy day at Temptations beats a sunny week at home any day...:huepfen021:

 

ahhhh I completely forgot to check for weather. That sucks. I hope it's not going to stop the daily activities/lessons, etc. like hobby cat lessons, etc.

The entire month of december = sunny except for the week we're going to be there,

 

28th nov to 12th dec 2011

every day whilst in cancun the forecast said rain.. and the sun shined constantly.. the odd spot of rain about 5am. who cares .. the sexy pool is heated , but they did some work on the water supplies..so the heater was off for 3 days.the other days it was fab xx

 

Yeah, don't even look at weather forecasts in Cancun. It will hardly ever rain where you will be staying, trust me.

 

Rain in Cancun usually means it'll rain for 2 mins and then it'll be sunny again 5 mins later.

So when you see 70% chance of rain, it's not a big deal at all.

The real windy days are the ones to worry about...

Yeah.. I mean how accurate are they in San Diego 8 days out? Sure it rains in Cancun, should have been there a couple of weeks ago when it really rained. Forecast probably called for sunshine!

Don't worry about the weather, it will be what it is when it is, but worrying about it won't change it and it won't stop the party.

If it rains for an hour I think the guy you are with will have more than enough planned for you to fill the time. Oh and turn on Channel 12 if you need any pointers!

Don't give that forecast any attention. It will change 8 more times before you go. Unless a major cold front comes through they don't know the weather until 24 hours in advance at best. I agree with the other replies, in their forecast rain means some rain, even 2 minutes.
Bottom line the weather is a crap shoot, but over the course of a week you should have some good weather.
