I will visiting Cancun May 23rd to May 27th. I would like to stay somewhere in town. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations they can offer. Thanks
I have 2 recommendations. If you want to be where all the restaurants and clubs are, I suggest the Ramada (formerly Hotel Margaritas) on Avenida Yaxchilan. Ask for a room facing the pool as it's more quiet than those facing the street. The hotel has recently been remodeled and is also within walking distance of Market 28. If you want a more quiet area of downtown, Radisson Hacienda on Avenida Nader. It's a short taxi ride from Yaxchilan. Rates at both should be very reasonable in May.
Thank you Zena. I already spoke with the Radisson Hacienda they quoted me a price of $792.00 USD for 7 nights. Not bad. Will try the Ramada next.
Kolnui: Try "Suites Gaby" as well. Just did a 5 night(23rd to 27th May) in a "Private Double Ensuite" and ended up with a total of 225$US. (45$US per night.) Here is a link to the hotel: Suites Gaby Its located just 5 mins walking from the previously recommended Ramada. I live literally across the street from Suites Gaby. You can also throw a rock at Market 28 from there - its that close A lot of buses and taxis pass all the time as well.
