Have some friends in town looking to spend a few days at Puerto Morelos. Close to the beach, not too expensive. Anyone have any recommendations?
Steve, this is my town, and I'd narrow it down for your friends as follows: Hotel Carmen Hacienda is on the beach. I'd recommend the pool-side room for the included deck & hammock. Overly priced restaurant. Posada El Moro is a block from the beach, and very cleanly boutique. Mexico Plus is also very nice, but is 2 blocks from the beach, yett it has a tasty restaurant and a full-afternoon happy hour (15 p. beers) at a nice, big, outdoor bar. Hope this helps.
