    Hi all

I am looking for some honest advice and recommendations.my girlfriend and I are thinking if booking Temptations for 2 weeks in august.we are both 27 and from Ireland.we will be looking at having a mixture of fun and relaxation.we will probably like to drink an hit clubs etc maybe every 2nd day but we also want to relax every 2nd day.we like to have a good time but we are definitely not "too crazy"

At the moment we have narrowed our choices down to Temptations and golden parnassus.

Do you think that Temptations would be a good choice for us or do you think we would be better trying a different resort?

    Thanks

Temptations is definitely your best option. You got as much partying and as much relaxing as you choose. You will have a blast.

I haven't been to GP, but I think you would have a great time at TTR. The hotel goes to a different club every night, so you have that covered. Just remember to bring cash for the taxi or bus ride back to the resort. You can also stay in at the resort and go to Patio's on your "off night". You have the sexy pool to get as wild and crazy as you want or you can hang out at the quiet pool for some rest and relaxation.

No upgrade is needed. You will spend very little time in the room anyway. When you do it will be for [IMG] or sleeping. You can always upgrade when you get there.

When you get there you will be "offered" a room in your category. We always take the cheapest category. Have them show you the room before you say you will take it. If it isn't in the location you want, ask to see another room. We usually request a room in a quiet area, around the quiet pool. Last year the first room they showed us was rigt on Patty'Os. Not quiet. The second room was on the quiet pool. The people at the front desk were great about it. Just be sure to show them respect while you go through the process and you will end up happy with the room you eventually get. As previously said, you don't spend a lot of time in the room anyway. (when you are, keep in mind that the same TVs with the same channel 12 in all the rooms)

We paid or the upgrade to ocean view and when we arrived they gave us a ground floor at the end. I kid you not the view was of the toilet in the next building. I took a photo with my iPhone and went back to the desk to show them. They gave us a second room that was pool view. We left our luggage in the lobby and went to see it. They said it was ocean view if we walked out the front door and looked over the rail. I said then so is the lobby if I look thru the dining room to the ocean from the lobby. The third room was above Paty'O's looking over the pool to the ocean. We were happy but it was loud. We had enough to drink that we passed out anyway. I went back and gave him $10 I think he was surprised because they tried to get us to just accept any room. This time we went plain and may upgrade when we get there.

If you want an upgrade I would wait till you get there. on our recent trip we decided to upgrade to a jacuzzi room half way through our trip. At the front desk they said it would be an extra $100 a night. I offered $50 a night and they took it no problem. Everything is negotiable.
