You have been so helpful in the past and I need it once again. So it looks like my move date is set for Oct 26th. My Dad is coming with me, as I need the extra baggage allowance, and also to see the area I will be calling home. What I need your help with is a Hotel for him. I know I could look through the Hotel forum, but I want to get this booked ASAP. He wants to stay in the HZ, as he is an avid runner and will want the views the HZ has to offer. It doesn't need to be AI, but I want it to be nice but inexpensive. Can any of you please give me some good ideas on what to look at? THANKS AGAIN!!!! Tori
Yay Tori!!! It's great you've got the date -- I'm excited for you As for hotels, it is AI and I don't know if they have a non-AI option, but my aunt and uncle love the RIU Cancun (next to RIU palacea and not close to RIU Caribe.) They come back every single year. I don't the price range you are interested in, but at the beginning of this month they stayed for like $130 a night for a couple AI. They did get a really good deal booking when Drugs/Swine/God knows what else was in the news back in May, but it might be worth checking. Have fun packing...yeah right, I know!
Ambiance Villas Kin Ha are on the best beach the hotel zone has to offer. Not all inclusive, inexpensive and lovely. Good luck with the move Tracey x
Seconding the vote for Ambiance, best beach in town, not expensive, I've sent a few people there who have been very happy. Congrats on the move!
Thanks for the recommendations. All the looking around that I have done points to the Ambiance, and along with your input, I am going to pass that along to him. He's pretty cheap  , and I found on Travelocity, 4 nights plus air for $698. Coby... it wasn't too long ago we were chatting about being roommates. Now we have to get Lyna onboard. Have you talked to her lately? I am thinking I should FB her to see what's up.
I know; craziness huh? As for Lyna, last time I talked to her (at least a month ago) she was pretty down about everything. She didn't get her job and wasn't sure what was next. Give her a buzz!
That makes me sad. She was so excited about the interview, and that darn swine flu messed it all up. Grrrrr!! Another question about Ambiance Villas. Is this Hotel one I can come and go as I please (as a non guest), and use their pool and beach without a problem? I don't think he, nor I will be spending much time there, I would like to know their policy for the future. I will be bringing my dog, so the first week is going to be focusing on getting him adjusted.
Tori, it's one the reasons I send family there, you can visit as it's not all inclusive. We just had to sign in at front desk if I remember correctly. Not sure if they'll allow the doggie though.
Thanks Cunuck...I didn't think they'd let my furry child in. But this will be our opportunity to get him used to his crate in our new living arrangements. I am looking forward to my Dad staying there, as the prices are great for the location, and this could be the where I send future guests.
So, remember I said that my Dad is cheap...well, I sent him all the info on Ambiance Villas, and him being him, went out and took a look at what else is available. He found Cancun Caribe Park Royal Grand for $50 cheaper and he's going with that. That's $50 over all, not additional each day. So now I need input if anyone has any for this place. I looked it up in the Hotels Forum, but I didn't see it listed. Why he won't stay where there are recommendations, is beyond me. But I need his help, and I want him to meet the boyfriend, so this is where he's staying. I hope I hear at least one yay!
