Hello everyone....we are in the process of booking our trip and found an ad on google through a website that shows a VERY low price for 5 days/4 nights. The only "catch" is that you have to sit through a 90 minute presentation. Anyone heard of this??? Sounds too good to be true, but the discount they are offering is definitely worth 90 minutes of our time. Thoughts? Is this legit? the website is wannagovacations.com

I just posted a thread about this after my wife found it. I would like to know if it's a real thing or some kind of scam.

I think you can get the same deal from the hotel. We did not do it the first time we went because after checking on booking our flights seperately it was not worth the little bit we would have saved to waste our valuable vacation/partying time listening to them! When we went in January the package deal through Travelocity wasn't much more and this time Expedia was cheaper.

As far as I know it's not really a scam it's simply an incentive to get people to buy a timeshare. There are very strict qualifying requirements and of course you have to sit through a high pressure time share pitch - where every sales tactic in the book will be thrown at you.

They run it as a loss leader, they'll make a loss if no one buys in but if one in twenty drop $20K then it more than covers the 19 that dont (made up figures for the sake of an example). It must work out for them otherwise they wouldn't do it.

Just do your homework here on the forum about the value and history of the Premier deal and try not to be swayed by top shelf drinks and promises from people who you'll never see again and who dont get paid if they dont make a sale. If you're confident you can do that then take the deal if it works out cheaper for you by all means :)

Thanks everyone! After carefully reading the requirements, we don't qualify anyway and don't want to risk getting charged extra once we are there.
