Has anyone gone out on the Hobie Cats they have? Are they really included? I'm not much of a sailor but would love to get some time out on the ocean with my girl. Do they take much to get used to? Let me know what your experiences are or if there's another thread out there for this send us the link. Thanks Everyone.
my wife always takes them out and yes they are free. The first time, one of the instructors went out with her to show her how to steer. She always has a blast.
They are included....as well as kayaks, windsurfer, recently a standup paddleboard....just see Jose, Luis, or Manuel at water sports.....not that difficult to learn...and great instruction from the water sports staff!!!
Jose, Luis, or Manuel will go out with you as much as needed until you feel comfortable.. all three are great!!!
Something we do late in the afternoon before they close up shop everyday. They close at 4:30, so we generally go around 4 for a paddle on the double kayaks. Gives our liver a break and its a different view of the Hotel zone.
I need some "me" time with quietude! Being out on the water iso so relaxing for me. I recharge everyday doing this stuff. When we were there in July Jose's wife had a baby.....and we left the resort w/o seeing him after the baby was born! This wa his first and he was sooooooo excited!
Thanks for all your responses Thanks everyone! Love this site Steve, what a great way to bet geared up for what I'm sure will be a great time away from it all. Are there very many of each type of water sport? Do we need to stand in line book time in advance?... I like the idea of breaking up the day so not to burn right out too early. I also like the comment of getting a different look at the area. are there any waves in the surrounding area for some boogie boarding, surfing, body surfing? Thanks again
