I walk alone downtown by myself daily and never had probelms. You will be in the HZ which you will feel like you were in Pleasantville. I would say just stick together and all will be fine. Rui is like a three min walk to Coco Bongo and all the other clubs and bars in the party zone. Great choice of hotel!!!!

Oh we're stoppin in the rui cancun aswell, its mint! Loads t drink n even more to do. The bars are a two min walk and dead safe. The riu was full of geordies lastyear too!x
