We went to Temptation in Cabo many times and now that it has turned to Desire we decided to go Cancun's Temptation. Here is a review that we received please tell me if you agree with it: Yes, we were there the 2nd week in April for 9 days. It was our first time but I doubt that we would go back. We have been to Desires several times and would go back. But, not Temptations. You pay much less there and you get much less at Temptations compared to desires and get get less. You also attract a totally different type of person. Food is ok, not bad. Drinks are made with the cheapest bar stock you can find. As an example, you could ask and get Smirnov Vodka as a "premium" offering, but it was in bottle with a different Smirnov label than you have ever seen, different color, etc. They boast 3 pools but everyone uses just the one. Lounge hairs are cheap plastic, narrow, no pads and place arm to arm, no space at all between them; and people go out at 6am to reserve them; by 7am, no chairs left. Most of all, because the costs are low, the crowd includes a lot of bachelor parties and young hooligans from Wales and Scotland. I mean, these guys are really loud and routie, and contant drunks. The above was edited some as not to offend anyone.
I disagree with some of it..some is ok. Smirnoff is not a premium vodka that I am aware of. But they are going to pour well vodka if you dont ask specifically. Never been to desire, but yes I would expect given the cost difference that it is less of an offering. Still plenty acceptable to me Lounge chairs are fine to me, put a towel over them, but yes people do reserve early. They are right on that. On the pool issue there are 3 pools. The sexy pool is the party pool, but the quiet pool is awesome if you want to lay around. The sports pool is............for sports
I don't think anyone can agree or disagree with your review, because it was your experience. Desire is $250 more per night so there will be some extra luxuries that you cant get at Temptation such as better lounge chairs. I dont think I've ever once sat in a lounge chair so that would not be important to us. We were there at the same time, only for 2 days though, and didn't notice many groups of single guys. Temptation is not for everyone, it sounds like a couples only, more upscale, laid back place is more your thing. I know we would not enjoy somewhere like Desire - too quiet and too small for us. But to each their own. Thanks for your review.
We went to Temptation Cabo 2 yrs ago right be for it became Desire. I like cancun Temptation so much more. Love the quiet pool if you want to get away from the games and read/drink and soak up sun. I like the food better at cancun also. I believe you make your vacation what you want it to be.

Agree with all of the above, the resorts cater to different market segments. If Desire is the way you want to go then by all means do so. I know that TTR suits my lifestyle so I will happily keep going there.
While some of the above statements are true.. it really will depend on what kind of vacaton you are looking for.. you cant really go by a persons review or opinions because there are so many different opinions. We have been to TTR many times and each trip has been different... Temptation caters to couples and singles and is a party resort .. Desire caters to the lifestylers and nudists and is more relaxed, laid back atmospher. You wont have a bad time at either place.. the best thing to do is go to TTR with no opinion and find out for yourselves.. but keep in mind that TTR has hundreds and hundreds of repeat customers.. as far as alcohol, ttr has brand names, all you have to do is ask for it .. PS.. At TTR, its all about the people that go there!!
Post the real, full review LOL. I promise not to get offended. I'll agree with the food sucking though (minus breakfast). The trip is what you make of it. If you don't want to deal with the rowdiness, there are quiet areas. If you want brand name booze, you have to request it, which makes sense (and tip so they remember ) Partygirl's got it right though: go in with no expectations and you'll definitely have a good time (unless you're a prude)
We have been to TTR and were probably there while you were there. I think TTR is a very different kind of resort. To me TTR is more of a laid back spring break type of a place for adults. It's not for eveyone, but it is a very non-judgemental place where friends can meet and have fun without anyone passing judgement. I really don't pick any place to vacation based on the brand of vodka or the chairs or even in TTR's case, the beach. I go for the friends I make and the atmosphere that is there. I've been to super upscale at Beaches-TCI. Top shelf drinks, French pastries, all those high end goodies. That's fine for most, but for me the place got boring pretty quickly. I prefer the good friends and fun vibe of TTR. I do agree that the single guys from the UK are more than a little bit annoying. My advice to them is that if they want some action go to Hedo or some other resort like that and quit hitting on guy's wives.
Temptation Cancun So I do not know any more than I knew at first So let me rephrase the question. If you have been to Temptation Cancun before, would you go back again. Why? Why not?
