i've lurked around theae forums for a while, but finally decided to post. I've read several reviews on here about Tucancun, but can't really find anything on the other two (hotetur and barcelo costa). My friends and i are deciding between these three hotels, and any input from you guys about the best SB hotel would be much appreciated.

    Party on!

Hotetur is waaaaaay too far from everything, its past the Hilton...

Barcelo Costa Cancun, is close to where the pirate ships are... actually i think its right there... they are good hotels the 3 of them... my parents stayed at the Tucancun last year and it was okay, right behind plaza kukulkan and walking distance from La Isla mall...

the other two... if i had to choose... my first option would be tucancun, the second one costa and the last hotetur...

    welcome to the boards :)

Ya i did some research myself the past few weeks before booking the Oasis and Tucancun is an older crowd, and as for Barcelo, i stayed at a Barcelo Puerto Plata (same hotel chain) in DR last yr and its definitely for adults+families.

what exactly do you mean by older crowd? like mid to late 20s older or like 40s? we're all 22, so we don't mind not being around the high schoolers and 18yr olds.

Ha thats fine, im 22 myself though i still prefer partying it up with 18yr old kids who cant hold their alcohol (not judging, that was me 4 years ago lol) than being stuck with snobby parents who are looking for a relaxing time on their week away from work yet choose SPRING BREAK to do so and then get mad at us for being 'too loud' outside their doors cause its 1am and theyre sleeping since they picked up a f***** 7am flight back home cause thats all their over-leveraged credit-card-indebted-for-life asses could afford.

    :)
