Okay so I assume the resort monitors Cancuncare for feedback from their most loyal patrons, if this isn't the case shame on them. With GOV now in the market its time for them to pull their socks up and fix all those little things that drive us nuts! First I'll say I love Temp, its truly been a 2nd home for us. That said, theres some issues that drive us nuts that honestly in most cases wouldn't even cost that much to fix. So I suggest we help them out by making a list they can use as a guide to ensure they're doing everything they can to keep us coming back. Here's some of the suggestions we have: 1- Put alarm clocks in all rooms 2- Put some kind of sticky tape (or something) on the stairs and walkways so the ladies stop slipping and hurting themselves 3- Less mariachi music at Paty'O, yes were in Mexico and some is okay but not like 5 in a row 4- CLEAN THE GLASSES BETTER! 5- Have some kind of a plan for rainy days 6- Change the entertainment more often. With such a high return rate you need to keep things fresh These are the ones that come to mind off the top of our heads, please add your suggestions and lets hope Temp takes notice!
Great thread idea. We have only been there once (last week) but I would second all these. A rainy day plan is A MUST! Some sort of indoor games like trivia or game show/newly wed game or something!! ALARM CLOCKS: If it's posted on this board, I somehow missed it prior to our trip. This was a huge annoyance when we were without clock. Hard to plan activities, dinner, etc. My biggest complaint is the dampness. I know people say "oh it's just Mexico"...but no. I have been to Mexico 6 times now and this is the only time my room had rusty furniture such as the lamps, artwork's metal, chair legs, etc. My suitcase - even the clean clothes I hadn't worn yet that were freshly washed before my trip felt damp and smelled musty and getting in the sheets felt damp as well. I think an upgrade to the air/vent whatever would be well worth the investment. And yes, slipperiest tile/walks EVER! Scary! The new chairs at Patty'Os are cool though so that's a start. Maybe new bedspreads. Ours were practically orange/dingy and next to white sheets it just screamed old. New upholstery in El Embarcadero would be nice. I saw some blackish mold/mildew on several spots. Barf.
I'd love if they'd consider changing up the 'thump, thump, thump' music played between 5pm until the DJ starts at 9:30 / 10:30pm at Paty O. Puts a real downer on festivities when everyone is just slumped around not really feeling it, forced to listen to this filler drivel that is impossible to get any kind of a song out of. It's probably not too bad for everyone, but we've just listened to the same 5 songs played over in a loop for 14 days. I love the evening stuff they put on, and the music/entertainment is very good in my opinion, just that filler stuff annoys me. Invest in some decent mix tapes and I'll be happy. Feel sorry for the poor barmen who have to listen to this daily for a living.
Thought we'd drop these here for your reading pleasure: http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/temptation-resort-cancun/28205-future-ttr.html http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/temptation-resort-cancun/27967-2nd-trip-pros-cons.html http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/tem...anything-about-ttr-what-would-you-change.html
I would agree with the music I definitely agree about the plan for rainy days. Not everyone gets the guts to go out in the rain and dance anyway...though that's what happened the other night. The sports bar is not a good option...too small and musty. Nice shoes they turn the lights on after the show and looses its draw after the show is over even on rainy days. I would like to see entertainment switched up a little bit, but there are limits maybe...unspoken or unseen ones? I'm just thinking about the creativity and effort needed to do completely new things without getting too crazy and not getting too lame... The alarm clock would be nice, but most of us now have cell phones and I use that at home so I use it there too.
#1 Renovate the rooms , painting the exterior does not qualify Last trip I had a missing shower door ,and as a consequence the bathroom door was coming off at the hinges, the mirrors were all spotty and rusty, the red bedspread had white stains on it (refuse to think what they were ) , the patio door would not lock,, yes this was all in the same room. #2 End the separate seating areas for members and non-members, it separates the groups . # 3 Bring back Chino ( should have been # 1 , but not into editing tonight ,lol)
REAL community hot tubs! Perfect spot would be that grassy area between the sexy pool and the 3000 block. A lot of unused space there. Option to pay more for premium liquor. Heat the pool. We are never going back in feb due to how cold the pool was. Redo nice shoes. Add lounge chairs, nicer bar, better Ac, make it easier to party in there. More hotel organized theme nights. Sheer night! Little Black Dress night! Upgrade the food. Too bland. Need to add a little spice. Allow food to be ordered by the pool. Put a day time grill out there. Bring chinos back! (Except Boobs Cruise days)
Have someone from TTR Management reply to these threads ( like GOV does), otherwise feels like were just pi$$ing in the wind
Agreed! But if they choose to not take us seriously then like I said before shame on them. The good news is we have options now and as much as I love Temp I'm more than happy to take my 2 trip per year at GOV. Balls in their court now. One more thing to add to the list: Let Steve stay at the resort come and go as he likes free of charge and be treated like the money maker he is! This site probably makes them 500,000k+ per year, FACT! Understand and respect that fact TTR! I work in marketing and I can tell you this site is a HUGE marketing tool for Temp. The fact they don't respect that honestly pisses me off.....
