Hey there i'm a new member here , so i thought id use this thread to both introduce myself and ask a couple of questions Im benji im 22 and a student from Sheffield in the Uk :flaguk: wheyy ! ha ha ive been cancun before but never for spring break. The general opinion here is that cancun at spring break is similar to european holiday islands like falaraki and ibiza. i just wanted to know how it really is from the people that have experienced it ? i'm not going to lie one of the appeals in going is i propper like american girls and where better place to find them than spring break ! my questions are 1) is playa de carmen as good as cancun at spring break as i have a friend that lives in playa shes gna let me crash at hers. 2) which hotels in cancun do people recommend , and is it more cost effective to go on an all inclusive deal ? my thinking is a week in cancun and a week in playa ! 3) what dates are best to come? , i know all the colleges are off on different dates. ive had differing opinions but i was thinking heading out the end of the week starting monday the 14th for 2 weeks any thoughts ? 4) and do american girls really actually go crazy for english guys or is this just one of those myths portrayed in american pie style movies ? thanks benji

Welcome to the boards I´ll try to answer most of your questions First: The Spring Break Experience Been to party places through the whole world incl. Ibizza, Kazantip, Goa, Bodrum and whatsoever.... They are all LAME compared to Spring Break in Cancun... I promise and will bet a truckload of beer: When you return to Europe you will get pretty quick bored at EVERY Party, even if your mates (who havent been to SB) consider it at the "wildest thing for ages" ;-) You know what i mean ;-) 1) PdC is also a place nice to do vacation, BUT nothing compared in Partys to Cancun. If you want the REAL Spring Break go for Cancun. PdC is way more laid back. And its far more frequented from European Travelers. 2) As for hotels in CUN there are so many good choices. First place to be is the Be Live / Grand Be Live. Thats where the Party never stops. You can also go for a cheap hotel and use AI-daypasses for the Belive if you want to. AI-Option really depends on if you stay at your resort. If you pick a "party-resort". DAMN IT! Book AI! Otherwise you´ll go broke on booze and food. And remember, eating and drinking outside of your resort in the HZ is only a bit cheaper than in your homecountry. 3) Dates? Anywhere in March is perfect, it will be packed anyway.. The so called peek weeks seem to be around 2nd to 3rd week of march. So your plans with the 14th March are pretty fine. 4) Girls.... Generally... There are way more guys than girls, but still enough I cant speak for the accent-thingie, as i never had any problems with mine ;-) But i think talking to them "NOT" with a "i-am-totally-fucked-up"-Accent will help a lot ;-) Just stand out from the "mostly totally drunk" crowd. They will love it, and you´ll be rewarded.
Cheers for the reply guys. how much are the day passes ? and do you get them from the be live hotel?. I'll check it out ,im really up for partying like 24/7 then chilling out in playa for a week after. The club scence was pretty good in playa last time as all the clubs are on the main 5th avenue i think its called ! when you heading out ? i could have worked it out from your sig thing but couldn't be assed lol. can't wait to head out there sorry for all the questions but you mentioned theres way more guys than girls , this is what i was worried about cock fests ! ha ha ! man id be so annoyed if i get all the way to cancun and most nights are cost fests. When i was there last time (in cancun) the hotels do like passes for clubs at night . are there specific clubs you go to on specific nights ? benji
Daypasses should be around 30-40US$. With them you can enjoy all they amneties of the resort. Food and booze also ;-). I am there from March 11th - 25th. Sure, there are more guys than girls. But still enough girls left, BELIEVE me ;-) Had no problems with the ratio the last times. Sure, you can go clubbing with the hotel/tour-ops. But for me it fits more of just heading to the Party Center and see whats going on (or head with your buddy), instead beeing stuck to a specific club. Add me at Facebook if you want to. Greets Nico

whats the verdict on nightclubs anyway ? do you buy passes from the hotels and stuff or just go with the flow ? whats better , cause usally you get arm bands that are all you can drink ! ive never thrown up so many consecutive nights in a row lol rum and coke ! tastes nice but you regret it later
oh and about the accent... dont you worry, it does the trick everytime. lol :aktion051: < germans hahahaha just kidding most people just go with the flow... its the best way to go... this year it was insane, i only stayed in 1 night out of 10... had a blaaaaaast, and didnt really buy open bar everytime, well... actually i cant remember lol im a big rum coke fan but i always end up drinking tequila and showing off my mexican drinking skills lol
