Help! Planning trip #1

This site has been so much help! We are planning a trip to TTR to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Were looking at booking the week of Aug. 15-20.
Is Aug. a good time to go? What is your opinion? Also your Recommendations

IMO it's always a great time to go to TTR. 3 things come to mind about going in August

1) Hurricane season runs from June - November in Mexico. Just something to think about.

2) August is very hot in Mexico

3) Because of the 2 above factors, August is less expensive to go to TTR

I'm sure people that go in August will give their opinion also. We go in Feb & Oct when the weather is colder here in Illinois

mid august is the start of their "off-season" been several times--grest trips. used to do mid may and mid to late august for 2 trips a year.

 

We went July 30-Aug 3 last year, hot and humid, but that's what we expected. We were in the pool ALL day, ventured out the the store across the street for gifts for the kids and that was miserable. The evenings were great though. After this trip in May plan to do it again in Aug.

 

Not likely to be as warm or any warmer than it will be in KY during that time of year. The resort will be pretty full when you are there.

 

It'll be hot, that's for sure. When we go on a resort vacation, we like it hot.

Love it may............going April 29th - May 9th

 

We have done Key West in August, and was fine as long as you were close to water to cool off.But you never got a breeze and very humid in town.

I have never been to Cancun when it was "Florida" hot.

We just got back from Key West, and had a great time. My wallet is a little light, but looking forward to going back.
