Hi guys, need some help. So me and a load of my mates have been talking about going on a lads holiday next year. We've done Magaluf and Kavos but want something abit different and less tacky! So I've got a load of questions that I was wondering If any of you could help me with. 1) So there would be about 6 of us, all around the ages 19-21. However 1 member of our group is 18 so will he be ok age wise buying drinks in clubs etc. Been to the US alot and I know its 21. 2) What would be the most suitable hotel to go to during our stay? We would like to be situated right on the beach, as close as possible to clubs and other hot spots for parties. :flash: 3) We are hoping to go during Spring break, and after reading this forum I understand that the first 3 weeks of March is the best time to go, but how quickly do the more popular hotels fill up? 4) At home all of my mates are big beer drinkers but I love cider and obviously that won't be available in Cancun. So beer it will have to be (aswell as everything else! :ernaehrung005: ) But what are the nicest beers in Cancun, we all know Bud, Corona, coors, but what else? I had Blue moon in Chicago last year and that was nice. 5) And to anyone from the Uk, how long do you suggest staying? 2 weeks would of course be the best but Its obviously more expensive than 10 days, or a week. So taking price in to account what do you think? Any help would be great!
1) Drinking age in Mexico is 18, you guys will be fine. 2) If you want to be near the clubs, at a party hotel, on the beach, stay at the Krystal Cancun. It is one of 2 main party hotels in Cancun for Spring Break and is about a 2 minute walk to all of the major clubs. The other party hotel is the Oasis Cancun, it is on the beach, but about a 15-20 minute bus ride to the clubs (except the 2 small clubs at the hotel) 3) Spring break starts in Mid February for Canada and goes through the end of March. 4) The most popular Mexican brews are Corona and Dos Equis, but if you like a darker beer, try Leon or Pacifico. 5) I work with a bunch of UK guys/gals and they tend to go for 10-14 days. There are other places to go besides Cancun that are close via rental car or private transfer.
