    I hope a permanent National Firefighter's Day is established.

    My father was a volunteer firefighter who died in the line of duty January 3, 1978.

    I also agree that there should be a National Firefighter's Day. no doubt about it.

    however, in my personal opinion, I dont agree with it being on Sept. 11th.
    that day should not honor just firefighters since there were certainly alot more ppl then just firefighters that died that day. Policemen, medical assistance ppl, etc. all died that day.

    National Firefighter's Day - YES
    Sept. 11th - no, we should honor everyone that died, not just firefighters.

    My dad and brother are firefighters and I agree with Venom a day would be nice but NOT 9/11
