    hi guys

have a bit of an internet related problem i'm hoping someone out there might be able to help with  .

On my laptop, i connect to my wireless network, no problem - connect to MSN no problem but when i try to load up a webpage it comes up with the

    Cannot display webpage
    most likely is because:
    - not connected to the internet
    -website is encountering problems
    -error in the website address

When i hit the 'Diagnose problem' i get the following

Cannot connect using HTTP, HTTPS or FTP
This is caused by firewall issues on this computer
Check firewall settings for HTTP port (##), HTTPS port (##) and FTP port (##)

Am just using the standard XP firewall.

Don't really have much of a clue what any of this means (not much of a techy), and find it strange that MSN works but nothing else does, and it was all fine a couple of days ago - however the last thing i did was download spyware (avg and pctools) - have done the old IPCONFIG /ALL in CMD and everything looks in order there.

If anyone has any ideas, would really appreciate it, like i said, not being technical on this stuff, am at a bit of a loss.

    Thanks, John :D
