The weeks of March 14-28th is the best time to go. We are going 20-28th this year. We go every spring break to Cancun and love the party scene. We stay at RIU Cancun because it is a little nicer all-inclusive resort. It is with in a very short walk to all the night life in Cancun. RIU Cancun is amazing place, a lot of young people there to party with. But I hear Gran Caribe is the "official spot" with Student City.

yh dude, the riu cancun is a niiiiice place. nice rooms, nice food, wicked entertainment team, all just about 5 minutes walk from the clubs. however i reckon you would have the same expierence if you went in june. during the days it lacks the spring break expierence ive read about at the oasis. you wont be disappointed if you stay there though. it depends what your after.
mint hotel, lacking in the day or poor hotel, buzzing 24/7. from what ive read the gran caribes a nice place though, so you might get the best of both there
