Hi everybody, I'm 21, guy from Boston/Providence area, plan on going to Cancun this spring break, probably alone from the looks of it, and I was thinking the 9th to the 17th? Here are my questions: 1) when is the busiest time? 2) Which Oasis hotel is the craziest one that everyone talks about? looks like there's a bunch to choose from. is it just the basic Oasis Cancun or Grand Oasis or what? 3) If I go alone will I have a good time?? I know that's a pretty subjective question depending on the person, but I can be very social (especially with a few drinks in me) and I'm just looking to have a good time with anyone really. If anyone's looking to meet up, if you're friendly enough I'm extremely laid back and could give a shit about anything really. Europeans especially, feel like that would brew some awesome conversation. So to sum it up: timing, best hotel, alone questions. Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks guys
Hey Buddy, Welcome to the Board!!! a) Its always busy on Spring Break, but the time when its gonna be REALLY packed are the so called Peak-Weeks (the time when the largest numbers of Colleges have Spring Break) This would be 2nd and 3rd week of March. b) If you are looking for "the" Party-Hotel it will be just the "Oasis Cancun" . The Grand Oasis is just different "upscale" Building on the same property. c) No big issue on going alone, you will meet tons of great (and some not so great people) You will make easily buddies, no matter in what hotel you are staying. Or simply go to the Surfing Burrito across from Senior Frogs. THE place to be during daytime,nighttime.... Everytime Cheers Nico

WELCOME! 1.) Busiest time is first week in March through Semana Santa. Great shows and the clubs are NUTS at this time! Cancun has several NEW clubs that are amazing! 2.) Honestly, Oasis is just the name that comes out of people's mouths. If you like a setting that's not very luxurious at all and you don't mind it being a drunken college dorm it's the place to be. Grand is a polished version of Oasis. Gran Caribe Real and Barcelo is a really nice resort that will have Spring Breakers minus the insanity and obnoxiousness. 3.) Going alone? Well, you're gonna pay a lot more in accommodations BUT you will certainly meet people!
