We are 1st timers, coming in June for our 10th anniversary.....I think I have read every thread....at least 3 times....and had a few questions that I was hoping you guys could help out with: 1) I know how to dress for casino/Lingerie night....but are the other nights at the resorts casual (tank tops, shorts, flip flops for men and women)? 2) I want to go to a club at least one night.....but I am not into "Techno" music.....was hoping to find some old school funk (Prince, Vanity, Rob Base.....) any suggestions? 3) ANYONE GOING TO BE THERE JUNE 23 TO JULY 1ST? Thanks!
hope this helps... 1. Other than the casino night there are no other real theme nights...dress can be casual or a little more upscale...most people dress in the evening the same as if you were going out for the night at home....jeans/shorts nice shirt for men...skirts dresses nice shorts, jeans, tops for ladies...most dress up in the evening...the sexier the better seems to be the consesus... 2 Coco Bongo's would be the best club for non techno music...it's also a really good time... 3 Maybe!! Just deciding now on our next trip...But it's looking like the end of June
1) Yeah, most night are casual. The Casino night is the only "dress up" night they have. That being said, some ladies dress to impress everynight and we see absolutely nothing wrong with that at all. 2) OK.. for a show night with some dancing included you must see Coco Bongos. Daddy Rock should also be on your list if Techno is not a favorite. Bulldogs does a mix as does Sr. Frogs. 3) Sorry but we'll be there in May but if you hang for a little while you'll saw seeing posting for those going at the same time you are. And if you have any more questions, feel free to ask away! Welcome to the Board.... Jamie
Lets see if I can help you out. 1. if you dress neat and tidy you should be fine getting into the clubs both on and off the resort. Shorts and t-shirts should be fine. But it is more fun when you dress to theme. 2. Regardless of what kind of music you like I'd suggest to everyone that if they only go to one club outside the resort then go to Coco Bongo. It's a show that everyone needs to experience. You'll get the best mix of music there. I've been every time that we've been to Cancun. It's worth it. 3. Sorry.. we're headed there the end of May.
Great advice from everyone above. I'd also mention that we Love Coco Bongo's, as well as Sr. Frogs. If you like to dance the city is pretty cool. We we've been there they play a pretty good mix. Good Luck!
Thanks to everyone for the answers....I can tell that you all are a really cool bunch of people! OK, 2 more questions....maybe. 1) Is smoking allowed in the pool area? 2) What about pool rafts....do they rent them, or can I bring some to blow up?
1- Yes, Smoking is allowed there, on the beach and at the outside Paty O' bar 2- Not for rent- you can bring them if you want.
