The Cancun option is from Isla, your transport over to the island is included in the price but you have to get yourself to the departure point at Km 6.5. Isla Mujeres is regarded by many as the best place to do the Dolphin swim when in Cancun. There are a couple of other places closer on the mainland like Dreams hotel or La Isla Mall, but the environment is not so natural, more like a Dolphinarium rather than open sea imho. The boat leaves from the Aquaworld dock which is at Km 6.5 and around 15 mins on the bus from the Golden Parnassus.
Steve, I'd like to get this booked but am not sure if or when you will be doing a booze cruise in early July. I know you are looking into it but if you have a date that you are leaning towards please let me know so I don't book the dolphin quest on that day. Thanks

Hey Steve, Betty and I will be in Playa in October at the Riu Tequila. Any idea how the dolphin swim is at the Dolphin Discovery Puerto Aventuras. Can you tell me how far away we are from that? I'm gonna do some investigating, but I would appreciate any info. I think I will book a royal swim. Have you done either? Thanks, Jack and Betty
Puerto Aventuras is 20 mins south of Playa del Carmen which is where the Riu Tequila is. Dolphin Discovery include free shuttle service to/from your hotel when you book. The Royal Swim differs from the Swim Adventure in that it offers more interaction and is of longer duration. Royal Swim 1hour hug the dolphin, kiss the dolphin, hand shake the dolphin, foot push, dorsal tow, jumps Swim Adventure 45 mins Belly ride, hug the dolphin, kiss the dolphin, hand shake the dolphin I have not done any of the Dolphin Discovery swims, although I will be doing one soon, not sure when, as I recently won a freebie :lol: The one I have done was at Xcaret which is a different operator although it included all the features of the Royal Swim. But the reports I've read of Dolphin Discovery in the past are positive. It's a very nice experience, something you'll never forget, and at half price an offer I've never seen before.
Sorry I missed this before. Golden Parnassus is at Km 14 or so and the departure point for the dolphin swim (boat over to the island) is at Km 6 - so about 20 mins max down the strip towards downtown.
