Ill post some pics soon but the first night I was in Cancun I had a pretty crappy run in with the policia. It was kinda my own fault walking alone but I had only been in Cancun for about an hour was sober and wasnt doing anything illegal I wanted to check out the scene. What I was doing was venturing down a side road which no one else was walking. The cops stoped in the street got out and pushed me into a cubby hole and searched me. While I was being searched my money was taken. When I accused the cop of taking my money he acted like if I wanted to argue about it he could take me to the station which of course I didnt want to do. So needless to say lost 250 for nothing also a bad idea to carry all that on me but I really didnt expect that would happen. That was the first night so I just took out some more money and made a badass trip of it. The resort I stayed at was full of women from the U.S. and other places from around the world, really enjoyed a group of 5 single ladies from Virginia Tech. I also made friends with guys and girls alike from all around the world. The clubs were amazing and the weather was top notch despite the problems I had I will definatley be going back for a 3rd time!
I stayed at the Be Live Grand Viva Beach. Everything about the hotel was great food ocean staff and the guest. It was all good I made friends and got to hang with plenty of girls as well. I went to The City twice, Mandala, and A three bar deal to daddy o sweet and the skybar place. Had a great time at all those places. Lil Jon was at The City while I was there he didnt really perform but definatly had the club going H.A.M.
Sorry to hear of the Policia problems, you shouldn't blame yourself for walking alone down side roads, it's not illegal but it is a risk. Unfortunately at Spring Break, Police from outside the area are shipped in and some see spring breakers as easy pickings. Shouldn't happen, but it does.
Thanks Steve. I understand its not everyone or all the time or anything just kinda crazy but I learned from it thats the most important thing. It hasnt changed my love for the place one bit.
Sorry to read about your trouble OBX but top marks to you for not letting it stop you from party rocking!
