Anyway, I am writing to ask for any support you can give me by signing a petition to keep Guatemala adoptions open. My wife and I have been in the process for about 6 months (we are adopting a baby girl), and we currently have our file in the family court system in Guatemal City...to make a long story short, the government down there may pull the plug on in process adoptions Jan 1 2008 due to the Hague treaty (and many surrounding issues). i wish the gov would butt out of stuff like that... here in PEI, they are debating adoptions from China. I hope everything goes well for you guys.
