I was wondering if anyone had info on Great Parnassus? I really think the room would be great, but I've been seeing alot of info about the beach being very rocky. I've also read that it was a short walk to an area that isn't so rocky. I really had my heart set on this one, until we read about the rocks. Any information would be greatly appreciated. We are hoping to go in late July. Thanks
Great Parnassus is where we go when we want a family weekend away, we are very pleased with it and it's great for kids. We must have been around 6 or 7 times now. The beach varies in size, there is always some beach but it comes and goes with the season as do all beaches on that side of Cancun.
You can't really swim there. It is very rocky. We enjoy it as well. The entertainment staff is the best. If you don't have kids, you can use the sister resort. The Golden Parnassus....it has plenty of room to swim. Adults only though.
Thanks for the input! I ended up finding the thread about "Great Parnassus" over on the hotel board. I didn't see it before I posted. We decided to go on and make a reservation there. We figured that we could go to the "golden" to swim. It sounds like they have a nice beach. I just fell in love with the "ocean view suite" (the one with the jacuzzi on the balcony), and didn't see a room like that in the "Golden" information. So, we just went for it! We go in July, I can't wait! We applied for our passports today, expedited of course! Thanks again!
