Hello everyone, I am going to Cancun in August, we have stayed at the GP twice and loved it. This time we are wondering if we should take a chance at the Crown Paradise. I know they are fairly close, but does any one know if it is any better than the GP? Is the beach more or less rough than the GP? How about food? Is it too crowded in Cancun in August? Finally what is the weather like? Thanks a lot...:cheerleaders:

We've stayed at both with our kids and prefer GP by far. There isnt much to choose between the beaches but we found everything else to be far better at GP.

The Crown Paradise is one of the oldest hotels in Cancun whereas the GP is one of the newest - the difference shows in our opinion.

I expect both will be busy in August as schools are out and they are both geared towards families.

We have been to both with our children and we really loved the Crown Paradise way more than the GP. The GP is newer but the food was Horrible we thought! The kids club at the Crown was better because it was durring the day and they had activites for the kids at night also so if you wanted to go to dinner with out the kids you can but at the GP kids club was only day time hours. The Crown has water slides (for all ages) and small ziplining for the kids. I think the beach was nice at both places.

I really much preferred the GP to the Crown Paradise. The Crown seems old and stodgy. We had a terrific time at the GP :)
