Hey, just thought I'd share a free program I found last year that I've used a few times to shrink picture file sizes to make sharing easier. In my experience it has reduced file sizes to 5-7% of the original size, and I generally can't tell a difference in picture quality when I look at them full-screen. As an example, I just shrank 627 pics from our trip last week (and yes, that is a teaser for a much more interesting thread to come!) from 1.2GB to 55MB.
