I have found out to my horror that I have no instant Gravy left in the cupboard, not even the Bisto flour for making my own from the roasting dish. I am yet to discover how it went missing but that will probably remain a mystery!

Anyway, on that sad note, I am wondering if there is anywhere I can buy Gravy from, in any form other than that tinned stuff they have in Walmart? I think i've seen powdered instant gravy before in a white pot but it probably tastes like that crap they have in Sirloin Stockade or worse still the gravy they have in KFC!

Failing that, does anyone know where I can buy ready made beef or chicken stock?

Chedraui in Plaza Las Americas has it. I saw that it comes in a jar. It think it was at the end of aisle 6.

For Thanksgiving, I saw Jellied Cranberry Sauce (Ocean Spray), Stove Top Stuffing, Durkee Onions in a can (to make green bean casserole), Bushs Baked Beans, a few varieties of BBQ Sauce (if you like that on your turkey), Cherry and Vanilla Coke, Swan Downs Cake Flour, corn bread mix and frozen Pumpkin Pies. This is my new favorite store to shop in.

Come on guys and gals. Just take some of your turkey drippings, stir in a cup of milk, shaken with 3 TBS of flour, let it thicken, then add more milk till you get the consistency you want and it is better than any instant gravy you could find.

Make it even tastier by simmering the turkey neck for 45 minutes with some celery and carrot, then pull off the neck meat, and put small pieces in the gravy. OMG.

The 15-20 people who had a Thanksgiving Feast at Casa de Bundy all loved his brown and my white gravy. Some liked it so much they were scooping it out with cups and drinking it.

I gave some leftovers to a friend and she put it in baby bottles, cut the tips off the nipples and the little sucklings were eating it up.

You have to be southern to know what gravy is Steve. Jajaja

The Chedraui on Kabah (across from Home Depot) has a huge selection of Campbells Gravy on sale right now. You can load up for the next holiday. It is not in an aisle, but on a table (look for all the Stove Top Stuffing boxes) close to where they slice the cold cuts.
