Hi we usually go to Cancun because there is such quick access to awesome entertainment off the reosrt if we want. We are staying at the Gran Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an for the first time for a wedding and we are scared we are going to be bored. How far is Playa Del Carmen and how hard or $$$ is it to get transportation there is want to go to CocoBongo or Senor Frogs or something?:musik001::musik001::musik026::bandit::flagcanada::lotsofmichaelfs::huh:

cuppies: I fear that you might get bored at Sian Ka'an. If the buzz and activity of Cancun are something you enjoy you will probably find the quiet of the GBP complex stiffling.
The resort is family oriented, though the Sian Ka'an section is going 'adult only' as of 1 November 2012. Each section has lounge areas with bars and singing nightly, though that entertainment ends at 11 and all activity heads over to the Hacienda area where the bands play for another hour or so before the disco opens. It opens at midnight and I have no idea when it closes cause I am long in bed.

Coletivos run up and down the highway but not long into the evening. Coletivos are 30 pesos to PDC. A cab will cost you about 300 pesos (maybe a little more later in the evening).

I hope you find the kind of entertainment you are looking for!

    Happy trails.
