We are one of the first couples to be a TTR Exile since the resort has closed for renovations. We have been to TTR approximately 20 times since 2004 and initially having to go elsewhere was not too exciting. That being said, our Octoberbreast group is an amazing group of people and we were looking forward to our trip. Our group had been chatting for at least 6 weeks prior to the trip and it really made this trip something to look forward too. While TTR was sending guests to Oasis Sens, our group decided to go to Golden Parnassus (GP) in Cancun.

Our trip started on September 30th where we left the Toronto airport with 4 great friends, Mark & Thelma and Kevin & Carolina. Uneventful plane ride, quick trip through immigration and we were waiting for our luggage. All of us got the green light and we were off to look for USA Transfers to take us to GP. We got to the resort less than an hour after our plane landed:) Checking in was a bit different than what we expected. Instead of going up to the counter, they take you to some comfy chairs in the lobby by the bar. Of course the first thing that came to our mind was they were trying to get us to do a timeshare presentation. Thankfully it wasn’t a timeshare presentation :) They gave us a virgin mango/pina colada drink as the welcome drink…was pretty good. As our rooms were ready we went to the buffet for lunch. I liked the set up of the buffet…they had about 5 different stations that you could get different things at and then a salad bar and a dessert bar. Food was ok. I didn’t think it was amazing; however, I always found something I could eat and didn’t starve! They do serve Pepsi products at the resort, not Coke. After lunch we went to check out the pool and the beach. The view is breathtaking. To get to the pool and the beach you do have to walk down approx 20 steps. There is one large pool on the resort. No swim up bar; however, there is a lady that waited on you to bring drinks. When our rooms were ready, the 6 of us all had rooms on the 3rd floor (only 6 floors in the resort) overlooking the lagoon. The room was nice. Very plain decor, but nice. The downside of the rooms: no fridges in the room, the beds were so small and the air conditioning was so cold that we would turn it off while we slept; however, it produced so much condensation on the floor that it was a safety hazard as the floor was soaked. There is a safe in the room; however, to get in them, you have to use a key rather than entering a code…just something else to have to carry around with you. Once we dropped off our stuff, we went back down to the pool to wait for other fellow Octoberbreasters to arrive…Mike and Kerry, MaryAnn and Javier and Matt and Ellen. At 2:30 in the afternoon there was still a lot of chairs available around the pool! The beach is absolutely gorgeous and jumping waves was a highlight for most of the trip, until Todd got an ear infection. Tonight was white / glow night. As we met at the lobby bar, we got lots of looks for being dressed a like! For dinner we ate at The Barn. It was pretty good. As there was 12 of us, we split up into 2 tables. We then headed down to the Tiki Bar and then jumped in the hot tub. It was really nice. Early night after a day of travelling.

Saturday morning we went to the buffet for breakfast. It was ok. They did have bacon!! I did like that one of the stations they have set up is a smoothy bar. Pick your fruit, they put some kind of powder (assuming protein powder) and then almond milk in it. It was good. We then headed down to the pool for a day in the sun. Got chairs poolside and started the party. We met Cody and Masha and Paul and Shannon (all fellow Octoberbreasters). This was turning into a great group of partiers!! The women did take their tops off at the pool; however, we were quite reserved. We did put our tops on to go to the washroom or the bar. Got some looks of disgust…but kept the party going. There is music at the pool during the day, but it wasn’t great. they have the elevator music going until like 10:30 / 11 or something like that. It’s not quite elevator music either. Each day they seem to do lots of aerobics and yoga and stretching class and then they do water volleyball, beach volleyball and tequila volleyball. Those are their main daytime activities. Theme for the night was pink night. For dinner we ate at the Japanese restaurant. Jen wasn’t feeling well but everyone else like their dinner and then the party continued at the Tiki Bar.

On Sunday Shaun and Steph arrived today. Overall we had a good day at the pool today, but it didn’t start well. Today was the day that a staff member and security came over to a TTR refugee and told her that she (and us) needed to put our tops back on as the resort isn’t a topless optional resort. They said the beach was but not around the pool. Apparently they had 5 complaints. We told them politely that they would have 20 complaints if they made us put our tops on and that when we booked it was a topless optional resort. Anyways, it was an awkward moment; however, we politely stood our ground and they left and never came back. We did have a great evening in the hot tub. Fonzy the bartender at Tiki Bar was awesome. He made us bottles of shots (like from tequila volleyball) and brought them over to us in the hot tub every like half an hour. We got the awic out and had a great time. Security was around and if we saw them, we behaved and made it appear like nothing was going on (didn’t want to get kicked out!) But honestly they just left us alone. It was after 1:30am when security came over and told us that we had to get out of the hot tub within the next 15 minutes, but we talked him into another 1/2 hour. Except it started to pour so we ended up leaving shortly thereafter anyways. That was the only time I recall it raining.

Monday was a pretty calm day as we all wanted to be in tip top shape for the Boobs Cruise on Tuesday.

The day we had all been looking forward to finally arrived. It was Boobs Cruise day. We had a good breakfast and then piled into 2 vans … thank you Mark for booking them with USA Transfers for all of us!!…and off we went to the Albatros dock. We went early so that we could walk around and take some pictures of our beloved Temptations. It was great to see Alfredo at the dock when we were checking in. Todd and I also walked down the beach to see Jose at the hotel next door. Todd and I did see an apple in one of the Suites by Watersports but the staff standing in the room wouldn’t give it to us. Mark was also out for a wander to get some pictures and we went up on the premier deck for a drink, but couldn’t get any service! Back we went to wait for the cruise to start. We didn’t think we were going to have enough people to run the cruise as our numbers dropped to 24; however, we ended up with about 40 people. Our group had a blast and were so thankful that Steve and Jannet proceeded with the cruise and that Chinos and Sara were apart of it. The only thing I thought was odd was there was no running water when we stopped for lunch. DJ Raffa was great. We were so happy to hear some current music!

Wednesday came too soon and we had to catch a 4:30pm flight home. Stopped at the hospital to get Todd’s ear checked out, but the wait was too long, so after a 1/2 hour we left. Home around 2:30am on Thursday.

My days are running together at this point, but Mark, Thelma, Todd and I ate breakfast one morning at Pier 12. We were the only ones in there! It was ok, but not what we were expecting. Thought we were getting bacon and eggs and it was scrambled eggs with bacon bits mixed in. You don’t need reservations for any of the restaurants and we never had to wait for a table, even with our large group. Our group went to Pier 12 for dinner one night and it was delicious. Again we had 2 very large tables. I think a lot of the staff liked some of the excitement that the Octoberbreast group brought to the resort.

One night they had Blackjack in the 60’s bar (near the lobby). It was fun. Most of the people in the bar was TTR refugees. They had 2 tables set up for blackjack. Our group took 1 of them with Martin and we had a blast even though it wasn’t lingerie casino. Thelma showed Martin how to deal and Todd and others were cheating. But everyone had fun.

One night they had bingo in the 60’s bar, although we didn’t attend.

Our group did white/glow night, pink night, LBD night and red night for themes. We were going to do corset night but decided not to as the resort has a bunch of prudes.

We got to celebrate Shannon’s birthday at The Barn on Red night. Was lots of fun.

This resort protects Sea Turtles and they have a fenced off nesting spot for the eggs to hatch. We saw a bunch hatch one night and also was lucky enough to see a tea turtle lay 125 eggs on the beach. A worker comes out and grabs all the eggs in a bucket and then moves them to safety from the birds. Kerry got some amazing pictures.

Overall, we had a great trip with some fabulous people. Staff was excellent and appreciated the tips. Sadly it didn't seem like a lot of people were tipping? Although we can’t wait for Octoberbreast 2017 :)

We have a bunch of pictures, but I have to figure out how to post them on here.

Well thank you guys for paving the way for us!! We were there from the 9-14th and they had no problems with us being topless, in fact we had ladies come up to us thanking us because they had never been comfortable doing it before!! We had such a blast!!!

We've been here 2 times..brought my daughter and her girlfriend both times..Laid back place nothing like TTR..we've used our friend Referrals for TTR dut did not find any for GP. 6th floor rooms have refrigerators and drinks in the rooms...When my girlfriend and I go we prefer TTR but this is a nice place for a relaxing time while we wait for the new TTR to open..If anyone knows somewhere else for us to go please let me know. Would enjoy a referral for somewhere to party like we do at TTR..
