This is our first time to Cancun/TTR and we were wondering how people carry their money at the pool for tips. Also, will we need to exchange for any pesos? :huepfen021::ernaehrung024:

Typically Bill just put a 5 or 10 in his pocket as we would always tip the bartender up front. Found we got excellent service that way. I'm with Tim & Alysia in the fact they don't care if you money is wet... :)

Some people keep money in waterproof wallets in their swim trunks, others keep it in their bag under their pool chair, some just tip with wet money. We just give each bartender a a handful of dollar bills before we get into the pool for the 1st time, since we rarely wake up in time to get a pool chair. And you can exchange your bills for pesos at the front desk, they have a very reasonable rate. Plus, mexican money is waterproof, added bonus.

we brought $100 in singles with us. We also tipped with those awesome 20 peso ($1.50) and 50 peso ($4) bills that are waterproof. Sometimes we forgot to tip so we'd make up for it later. We tipped $2 at breakfast and $3-4 at other meals.

I was finding 1's on the bottom of the pool. I think I was up $5 one afternoon!
