Good idea to come alone?

I'll be in Cancun for work this week (as I am about every month or so) and then at TTR from 6/24-6/26. I was tired of finishing my work week and going to uber romantic resorts by myself and was was hoping to find a more fun/entertaining atmosphere. While resorts of any kind are naturally and understandably designed for couples I was wondering if I might get some opinions on traveling here solo? Oh and is there a secret handshake.... I LOVE secret handshakes

Just goand make sure you are respectful , outgoing and fun. Make sure you say HI.
You wont have any issues fitting in and making friends singles or couples.

absolutely some of the best people weve met were flying solo, just be respectful and you will have a blast

 

I've heard several mentions of being respectful. It's a little sad that at an adults only resort there appear to have been so many idiots in attendance At my age if I ever become disrespectful feel free to drop me off in the middle of the Ocean.

 

You will have the best time of your life, do it!!!

 

Be careful at the pool during the day. Its easy to to meet people (like they said be respectful), its also easy to drink too much and miss the patty'o/nighttime fun. especially the first day. Things start to ramp up around 10PM at Paty'Os. I suggest a nap before dinner.

Dinner sucks alone. If you are meeting people and getting along ask if they have dinner plans most welcome extra company and will ask you to come along. Most people are there to meet other people.

Look at the June roll call for theme nights. Try to bring something to fit in that way. The ladies like guys who participate in themes. Its an ice breaker too.

Some couples wont like single males. Most will at least talk and party with you. Some will be very interested (so long as you are respectful).

If there is a Boobs Cruise available while there do it. Cancuncare/Steve's Boobs Cruise not the booze cruise.

Reach out to the other people on here that will be there the same time.

I am sure you will want to go back.

 

Be respectful, smile (look approachable), and you'll be fine.

Highly recommend meeting people on here before you go down.
