Sorry for the long delay in getting a trip report out. Here’s a quick summary of Jan 15-22, 2011. The Trip No problems with flights or transfers this time. The Boy lost his luggage for about 3 hours but the resort was great about delivering it to us as soon as it came in. We had the room directly up the staircase in Patty O’s which was a bit loud but you could crack the balcony door in the evening and have music as you got ready to go out as well as a great view of the Sexy pool with the ocean in the background. The People What can I say, Temptations brings out the best in people. We had an amazing trip seeing a whole bunch of people we knew from last year, some we met from CancunCare, and a few that we met for the first time. I went back onto the January Roll Call and was amazed to see that we ended up talking to almost everyone on it at one point or another. Evening Events We were there during the Miss Temptation Finale with 5 of last year’s girls. Life, work, and kids prevented the rest from coming too but hopefully we’ll see them again next year. I admit it was great to be seeing the events from the other side of the stage. We met a lot of the girls and their husbands/boyfriends/friends and found that they knew how to party just like the rest of us. We missed every single night show for some reason so no comments on those but lingerie night was great. After the casino and fashion show almost everyone paraded to Patio O’s in their lingerie and most stayed that way for the rest of the night. The CC set up theme nights were sparsely populated. Almost everyone did Red night on the first night and it did help with finding each other (Girl never made it back up to her room to change…oops) but there were only about 3 people in White night and we only saw one who dressed for Schoolgirl. Other weeks have had so much participation that it is hard when packing to make a judgement call as to whether or not you want to participate or purchase special outfits. Daytime Events You could find us at the Sexy Pool all day every day of the week. Chino’s ran a great show and from our perspective it looked like he had lots of participation. A couple of highlights were the Mr. Temptation contest and the Iron Man contest when we knew a few of the participants and helpers. The Girl even got to participate as a judge for the drink making contest (sorry tonia!). There is nothing better at the sexy pool than ordering a few rounds of shots to get to know the other people in the pool. We reserved chairs the first 2 days and ended up letting friends use them the whole time so after that we started stowing our bag of sunscreen under a reserved chair for reapplication later. Best invention in the world: Alcohol Infused Whipped Cream. Second best invention: Waterproof camera. The towel policy now is that the towels need to be returned back by 7pm which was nice since there are no longer towels hanging off everyone’s balconies. Beach We touched it. Does that count? Excursions Coco Bongos was great. Thank you to the CC people on here (Adventure Couple/DLaverty) who set us up for a discount group rate. The show was fun to see and the music loud enough to make me lose my voice. The blondes that we were there with garnered lots of attention from the staff but TTR people are great about watching their own (thank you!). One girl we knew well gets really sea sick so we did not book for Steve’s Booze Cruise and I am still lamenting missing it a bit. We did however sign up for the Friday night booze cruise with Sergio at the towel hut. I recommend that one to anyone. It is very different than Steve’s but the staff was great on the boat and the buffet at Carlos and Charlie’s is pretty good. We had people on the bar, pole dancing, and on stage all evening. Booze You never realize that you were not sober the entire trip until you get home, sober up, and figure out that’s how it really feels. We brought our own cups with attached straws and Jose washed them for us daily. They aren’t huge but help a bit with keeping ice from melting and drinks from spilling. The bartenders spent the whole week impressing us by creating new concoctions (just tell them to be creative), catching ice cubes and limes in glasses behind their backs, and spinning bottles. Restaurants Eating is by far our favorite activity (well almost). We talked our way into the Asian restaurant the very first night and ended up going there twice this trip. We also did Italian 2 times and the Seafood once. The rest was at the Buffet. We literally ate everything off the menu. I swear the waiter was amazed when we ordered at least one item from every section including the Sexy coffee. Girl had trouble sleeping for a few days until she figured out that every evening’s Sexy coffee was keeping her awake however. Stupid Caffeine. The Seafood restaurant has remodeled a bit and now has these white curtains separating the tables around the outside of the circle and a large couch seating area inside (which they can move for larger groups). The Buffet had great breakfast food as always but I found lunch and dinner to be a bit bland. In fact, the small buffet out on Patty O’s had better choices in my opinion. Margarita’s has taken the shrimp cocktail off their appetizer menu for lunch (you can buy a premium version for a small fee) but they still serve guacamole upon request! Future This was our third time back and we love this resort. I look forward to visiting again but we are looking at going another time of year as well as other places that we may have fun at. I keep checking online looking for those deals that you just can’t pass up to come back to TTR but it is so hard to make it when you only get 2 weeks vacation. For those of you we met (or saw again), thank you for an awesome trip. We hope to catch you again in the future. You are always welcome in NY!

Thanks for the TR. We met you both last year. Glad you had fun. We changed our dates to late February this year and now can't wait. Hope for more CC participation in theme nights but will bring backup clothes, in case.
Great TR. The CC based theme nights can be either a huge hit like Glow Night last spring or a bust. Too bad the resort does not some themes for the different evenings, or at least support the theme they do have. Chinos is not real fashion conscious and it would take him to make the change.
Bart/Annette - just have to say we LOVE your signature - "you can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning! and If you cannot remember it, then it didn't happen." Very good rules to go by!
Glad you enjoyed coco Bongo's... man that was a PAIN in the ass getting 14 people together for the discounted rate. Have to admit I was a little freaked out when your friend demanded her smokes from me thinking I was your hubby lmao. I counted 3 night where we happened to have the same colors going on... creepy
