Im coming at the end of August/early September for 12 days. Im thinking about bringing my clubs for a day of golf. Anybody have experience playing in Cancun. Good/bad tips?????
It looks like there could be some decent courses there, but I don't know if I would take my clubs with, it looks like it is only $35 to rent them. I've seen some nice courses from the airplane, and it looks like it is around $100 per round on average. It would be great to hear from someone who has played some of the courses.
I'd of loved to have golfed there but after seeing the rates I went to the beach. I dont think you could get on for any less than $160+ USD. Hell my membership here in MN is only 420 a year. By the way the courses look beautiful!
$15 to rent clubs at the par 3 in front of the Oasis Cancun, I'm not sure if it's open to the public, you might have to be a guest. It won't get any cheaper than that!
If you plan on golfing more than once you should consider bringing your clubs. I just played Moon Palace and it costs $50 for club rental. I'm playing Playacar tomorrow and that would be another $50. I brought my clubs to save the $100. But now I need to buy more golf balls since I lost a bunch on 1 round of golf. Not sure how much it would cost to bring them with you. We were able to pack most of our stuff on the 1 checked bag and 2 carry ons. From Las Vegas it would've cost $40 if we had 2 check ins + 1 golf transport.
Prices for a round of golf range from approximately $160 USD to $250. Rental clubs range from $35 to $50 dollars. Most courses offer twilight rates that start around $100 USD. Depending upon which hotel you are staying at I would inquire to see if they have a discount arrangement with any of the courses.
