Hi everyone, I've been reading this forum for a while now and love all the enthusiasm about GP, this will be my first time in Cancun. I have booked for two weeks from 3rd October with my husband and was wondering if anyone could advise me about the weather? I've heard various views about it in October, any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Cx
WE went in Oct last year and the weather was beautiful. Not one single day of rain, well actually I think it showered on us in the pool for 5 mins one day. Its still hot too. Only thing you have to watch is hurricane activity, we missed on by about 3 days.
We go every year in October and the weather is absolutely beautiful !! in all of the 6 yrs we've been, maybe a few hours of rain.....and we will be there this coming october 5 - 14th !!

We go to Mexico every October. Will be in Playa the first 8 days of October this year.....we've been at the Golden 2 times in October. One was 2005 when Cat. 5 hurricance Wilma nearly destroyed everything. October has great weather...sometimes a bit rainy, but it is still hurricane season.
To be honest i can handle rain, i come from Scotland so pretty used to it. As long as its sunny. It must be good if you go every October :icon_smile:
Hello Everyone, My Husband and I will also be staying at the Golden this coming October (5th-12th), we are so excited and can't wait to go already!! I have a couple questions and would greatly appreciate answers if anyone out there has stayed at the Golden: -What is the typical age range of the guests at the Golden, my husband and I are in our 20's and will be celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary, and love to have a good time and drink, but I have heard that it was a lot of older guests, but pictures I saw online have shown otherwise. -Is there a decent amount of people that are there in the month of october? Little Rain I was at the Golden in May and will be back the very end of Oct and 1st week in Nov. Quite a few of the guests then were in the 20"-30's range. There were less in the 40+ age group and a few in the 50+. We had a blast and can't wait to head back. Check under the November registration thread. HammieJ answered quite a few first timers questions there which may be helpful.
Clara, glad to hear! This will be our third time to cancun, but first adult only resort as the previous trips we traveled in a large group of family, this will be our first trip alone, we are very excited! I can't wait to be relaxing by the pool with an ice cold drink! It will be here before we know it! :ernaehrung015:
