Hi Steve, I'm a Crown Royal drinker myself. They have Canadian Mist there which is low grade but drinkable. I will be picking up a bottle at duty free this time. I like my first few drinks to taste good, then I don't care. The Canadian mist gave me a hang over even with diet coke. Crown won't do that. The Crown was expensive anywhere near the resort.
Actually, Canadian (rye) whiskey and regular whiskey are very different. I only drink Rye whisky and can't stand regular whiskey. I find all over the world you have to order by name brand and many times actually point to the dusty bottle and tell them it's rye.
yeah, you can't really order a whiskey and coke either or you're probably going to get a Kentucky Gentleman and coke. Which is clearly not what you want.
