After all the problems we had with flight cancellations because Atlanta was iced in even tho it wasn't cold enough to freeze, re-routing and re-ticketing and nearly doubling the cost of the trip, we enjoyed a wonderful week with some amazing friends. Unfortunately TSA did their part to add to our travel woes, after they had one station to handle about 3 flights coming through customs in Dallas, they shut down all but one line to re-enter security and we missed our connecting flight after it took 45 minutes to get thru. We got to the gate 5 minutes before takeoff but they had pushed back early, American Airlines cares more about the on-time rating more than the customers. I may have to charter a boat to come down next time!!!
So sorry you experienced arrival and return issues with the airlines and happy to you were able to make the trip happen. Sounds like you had a blast! We weren't so lucky. Couldn't get a flight out of the WDC area until the day we were scheduled to return from Cancun! We have some of your "make it happen spirit" and rescheduled for March. Maybe we'll get the chance to meet the February repeaters next year. Again, glad you enjoyed your vacay! Cheers!
