I was reading reviews on trip advisor, just to pass some time. I love the place but was curious what bad things could people possibly come up with. The one thing that got me worried is I saw some reviewers state that Temptations ran out of room and shipped them off to Blue Bay. Does this really happen??
It happened to some people while we were there 2 years ago.. for the first 2 nights I believe it was they had to sleep at a different resort..
I was worried last week since they were near capacity, but didn't hear of anyone getting bumped. The staff were going around looking for volunteers to spend a few days at Desire this week, though, since they were overbooked.
Hmm... I would prefer Desire but still... you book a vacation at a specific place, how can they not let you stay? I'll bunk with anyone who will let me or sleep in the kitchen. Anythign! LOL
They only bump New Jersey devil fans to the family resort. The front desk manager is a flyers fan thankfully.
Yes, it has happened in the past to some friends of ours, but if it does they make up for it with an upgraded room, couples massages etc. I have heard of them having to send people to Dreams, but mostly to Sea Adventure. Unfortunately, even with a reservation it does not mean that a room is confirmed ... however; it does mean the hotel will honor your reservation and at their cost will transport you to and from their sister resort - and usually work something out to make up for the inconvenience - I have only ever heard of a 1 day bump - the next day you are usually set-up by check-in time with an upgrade. So, if the hotel is to capacity - they will bump those if needed - really shity - but it doesn't just happen at TTR - other hotels do it too!! Keep your fingers crossed like we do each time we check-in. I will say we tend to book early arrival flights to Cancun - I have witnessed those with late check-ins have the "bump" issue. Hope this helps!!
