hello everyone i have a friend who returned from coz. in july ever since she has been back she has a rash on her neck to upper torse and on back been to several doctors but the rash is still there and itching but doesnt seem to be catching to others any suggestions on what it could be or what to do
Sounds very much like sea lice to me. They're not actually lice, they are thimble jellyfish larvae that can get trapped in your swimming costume. More info at one of my other web sites: Sea Lice in Cancun | Prevention and Treatment | Cancuncare
sea lice? i thought of sea lice but wouldn't sea lice be all over this is from the waist up she has taken two shots from the doctor after she got back and it stop the itching for about two days and then it comes back
Sea lice should not last longer than 10 days to 2 weeks tops at least that has been my (extensive) experience with the buggers.
I got it when I was there in June. Red dots popped up on my hand and a little ways up my arms. A few of the red dots turned in to little blisters. It took atleast 2 weeks to go completely away. The red dots turned kinda brown and then they just faded away. I was so thankful that I did not get that on my face because it took so long to go away.
There's an ointment you can get for that rash you have there, you know. (As the actress said to the bishop)
