Get a horse or a mule. Not only do you have transportation, but it also doubles as a lawnmower. But if your lawn grows at a fast rate, might I suggest you also become an Alpaca farmer on the side.
Alpacas (or is it llamas?) supposedly also can serve as good sheepdogs. Very good and brave about chasing off coyotes and the like.
