I have not seen this spectacle but I have it on good authority that Cancun has its own Imelda Marcos, in the person of Susylo, shoe maven extraordinaire. I don't know off the top of my head Susy, but I have a friend who probably will know. She and hubby are in Vegas and will return in a couple of days. Will let you know. I have a couple of the pictured racks in my mini warehouse space in Florida but they are too bulky and heavy, even in the original box, to bring. www.barrdisplay.com They have shoe racks of similar quality. Have you thought about having them fabricated? If so, I can put you in touch with a guy who can possibly do it, but he is Esp only. Let me know.
Susy: Im also on the lookout for the clothe-racks. So far, no luck. Found some on Mercadolibre(ebay for Latin America, kind of), ranging from 600 to 1400 Pesos.
Susy and Tony, In November, I bought two of what Susy has pictured. Of course I got them in FL but I am commenting on the Mercado Libre price. Mine look just like the picture and were about $60 US each with tax, or about $750 MXN. So if what Tony found are new or like new, and can be bought in the $750 range, that would be a decent price if they are apples to apples. Sus - I have contacted my friend and she will call me when she gets back. The shoe thing may be tough but I did not show her a photo since you didn't post one. They may have some of the kind you showed in the photo. Stay tuned. She wanted to go pull her husband out of the casino but I told her that was appreciated but not a good idea. Jaja

Thank you all for your comments. After drafting an ideal clothes rack I went to Home Depot to see if they carried the parts and to price them. Unfortunately they don't offer a cross fitting for the project so I had to sit in the aisle and redo my original plan while security watched me. I believe I've came up with something that will be perfect. I will go back tomorrow to buy the parts and let you know how it goes. Rawkus if it works I will be happy to give you the plan I drew, it's made out of galvanized pipe and will cost around $700 pesos. 80 in. H x 48 in. W x 18 in. D I didn't find a shoe rack, but bought some 8' moulding that will be painted and installed on the walls of my shoe room so I can start hanging my heels. Have a great night.

Let me know how it turns out Ive built dog and cat enclosures with stuff from Home Depot, modified our washing machine etc. Great stuff can be found at times, but usually there is ONE important piece missing.
