Likely a silly question since I'll definitely be camped out poolside most of the time as I'm sure everyone else is - but never hurts to ask.

I'm travelling alone to TTR Oct 3 - 10 and will stay in a garden view room as it was the cheapest to book, but since this will be my first trip to Mexico if the ocean views were really something spectacular I might consider changing my selection.

Thanks to all who respond :D

p.s. If you see me poolside and I haven't moved for a long time PLEASE roll me into some shade. Your help is greatly appreciated

IMO, you have made a good choice. Ocean view is certainly not ocean front, and you may only be able to see the ocean from part of your balcony. You probably will not be in your room much while you are at TTR. A down side is that garden view may actually be street view, not the greatest, but you will be fine.

I agree with Bart. We are members so we always get an Ocean View Room, however I can't say I spend much time admiring the view. If we want to enjoy the view of the ocean, we go down to the beach. One advantage of our rooms is they are closer to the sexy pool which is handy for many reasons. Garden View is cheaper & a better value IMO the first time to TTR. Besides the balcony has some pretty good views from those rooms at night if you know what I mean  ( see the post on balcony shows). Don't worry you will have a great time no matter what room you stay in.

Done and done.......Garden view it shall be!

Thanks for the replies Bart & Scott. And yes, I've just read the thread on balcony shows - surprised that's not a selling point in the brochure, for those not too interested in nature......hahaha

    2 months to go....AAARGH

    Cheers
