Hi everyone! We want to say thanks to everyone who has taken a look at our things! We will continue to be selling our things until it's all gone. I hope someone can help me with a quick question, we have a lot of hardback books and magazines in English, nice ones. I know the books are very difficult to purchase here and when they are found, are very expensive. I need some quick ideas to get a place set up for anyone that wants to take a look. I have not found a place to sell them or even a library to donate them. I find it such a waste to trash them and they are far to heavy to carry back to a library in the states. Let me know if anyone is interested!
Have you tried http://needfulthings-cancun.com/. They buy and sell books in English. They are located on Coba. Worth a shot!!!!!
There is also a bookstore/cafe in Isla Mujeres (Manana, Ave Guerrero/Matamoros), they would be very happy to buy them, you get a voucher with what you can buy a T-shirt, some souvenirs and food/drinks. i am sending you a PM
Needful things is on Coba, a couple of doors to the left of La Pasteleteria/La Creperia and Alma Libre is on the souside of the town square in Pto Morelos, in the middle of the block. That is more or less between Cafe Amancia and Hola Asia. Both buy and sell used books, both paperback and hardcover. I know that Needful Things may not buy certain titles if they are overstocked in them. Also, they must be in saleable condition. Nancy at Needful Things and Rob and Joanne at Alma Libre are all friends of mine and great people. It is impossible not to like both of these great stores and their owners.
Alma libre Hola, We still take trades every day, but we don't take hardcover books right now unless they are really special. Unfortunately, hardcovers are too big and heavy for people to take home in their luggage, so they don't sell! Thanks for the kind words TJ. Hope you're felling better every day!
