Delayed thanks to delta and Atlanta airport. Over 2 1/2 hours and counting. There was a light thunderstorm for 30 mins, which has totally passed. Now we had to wait on pilots and "maintenance" issues. So I just had to say Fuck Delta. All these airlines suck these days.
I agree, how dare they not fly in adverse weather conditions in a fully maintained aircraft with competent flight crew! Dude, relax, think of the vacation ahead of you and how getting there safely should be your most important worry right now
Write a well worded complaint when you get back. We have had issues like that with Delta a few times, and they actually have sent us some sort of compensation each time.
WE GOT DELAYED 30 hours with Sunwing, cause their pilots were over their alloted flight hours , due to Sunwing booking them a 100% and not allowing for a 2 hour delay. their compensation was 150 pp on a $ 3,800 package. the use of the word ''F....K'' for a couple hours is overkill
We lost 27 hours of our vacation because of delta we just got here and seems like it is already time to leave.
Sounds worse than us by far. Why did you get delayed that badly? We had a good time at Temptation though. Plan on returning again in the future.
I am a pilot for an express carrier of American. In order to keep ticket prices so low they schedule us to 80-90% of our available duty time and a 2 hour delay can result in us timing out of available duty time. I have a list of airports in my head that I avoid during certain times of the year because I hate the delay as much if not more than the passengers. Atlanta is a no go for me in the summer.
Wow, lost one whole day. I hope they compensated for the room, and other expenses plus lots of air miles or cash.
Unless you book a package deal the odds grow against you for hotel compensation. They have every angle covered
