My husband and I are going on our virgin voyage to TTR in October and we have noticed that if we tell people the name of the resort we are going to that we immediately receive judgment. Is this a problem that many of you have run into in the past and if so, how do you deal with it?
We just say we are going to cancun and if the ask where then we say. If they don't like it they shouldn't have asked. Most don't know what it is some say isn't that a swinger place and we say no they go there but it is not, it is a party resort. We say its spring break for people our age.
We just tell it like it is. We don't want to go on vacay and be surrounded by kids. It's affordable. The resort always has something going on so you don't have to leave the resort unless you want to. This is usually a relief to some fam members due to safety issues in Mexico. Some people look at the website and get a false idea of what the resort actually is, so we assure them it is nothing like what the website depicts.
Personally I quite enjoy the raised eyebrows but I'm a little evil. Mind you I didn't tell my parents exactly where in Cancun we go lol
I know some people say Blue Bay Getaway, Thats what Temptation used to be. I am quite careful to mention the name of the resort or even Mexico on FB when posting to fellow vacationers due to this very reason. I know there are many teachers or professionals on here that need discretion for Job security.
Discreet for job security? I can't imagine getting fired for getting your tits out but I'm of European origins and don't view boobies with the same puritanical fear North Americans seem to lol
Ya I have a neighbor that is now convinced we are swingers. LOL I only told a couple of friends and my mother and grandmother about it. (believe it or not they didnt blink) Now as for my FB friends, no. Too many cheer moms etc on there. LOL
When I was at TTR last june there were lots of people who were teachers or professors and they have to be very careful of what the portray to the outside world. Its sad that they can't just say F it we are going to Temptations, but they can't.
Thank you. We always say Americans are such prudes. We see men at local water parks with bigger boobs than Melissa but thats okay. If she went topless there she'd get arrested.
