One things for sure as an expat, it's who you know not what you know that helps make living in Cancun a success. Maybe it's time we had a forum get together? We've had a few long in the past that worked out well. I was thinking soon after New Year, maybe a Friday or Saturday evening? It would be in a bar 8 'til late, not intending to eat just chat and some beers (it's the easy option) somewhere central downtown. Anybody interested? Votes are visible to other users, mainly to get an idea of who would and who wouldnt attend. If you dont want to attend and dont want to have your no vote visible, then dont vote at all.
I think it would be fun. Suggest El Padrino's. Big enough for a small crowd but small enough to be intimate. We could take over the place. I will be returning in early Janaury. YIPPEE.
Fine idea, Steve, but I would like to suggest "Las de Guanatos." T.J. will know this place, at the bullring. They go so far as to import their bread from Guadalajara, and it's the best! to go with their tortas. For those who wish to drink their dinner, the beers are cheap.
I like the idea but don't know the place. I think it would be good to get away from the usual assortment of bars on Yaxchillan and everyone can find the bullring. Do you know how big the place is? Some of those bullring places are tiny. Also, do you know what time it closes? Some of the bullring places close around 11 which I guess might be too early for some. Indoors or outside?
Casual and fun, it has both indoor and outdoor spaces: outdoors, tables can be put together to accommodate however many show up. Closing hours are when the last customer leaves....
