Have started packing and after the fashion show today, I threw in the items and said "Ok, I'm pretty much packed!" Rome laughed and asked how we were looking on space. I told him, seriously, I'm pretty much packed (there is still a lot of space)...then I realized I haven't packed a single pair of shoes! Granted we only have one suitcase being packed at present and we are flying JetBlue so we get a suitcase each for free, plus carry on, but still! I also remembered that I have ZERO cute, flat sandals - I haven't been able the find any and have been looking for a year, since mine bit the big one last summer (picky AND cheap shoe shopper - makes for difficult shoe shopping experience!) so I'm not sure what I'm going to do when the heels/boots/etc. get uncomfortable at night. I guess I'll be sporting my New Balance sport flip flops?? lol Or my cheap Walmart flip flops of death (you know, the ones with ZERO grip on slick surfaces) - those sound like an EXCELLENT choice for Paty O's!! :icon_eek:
If you can find a store that sells sanuks I highly recommend them. Yoga mat ones. They are $30 but you will never need another pair and they last forever!
my feet are tough and it might not be for everyone, but especially during Labor Day weekend when it rains, I always go barefoot, so much easier for me (with a size 9 foot) to go barefoot then to try to balance on heels after a day of drinking!
The first time we were there it poured and poured and I fell numerous times. I'm clumsy to begin with and the rain and slippery floors don't help so I go barefoot often as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ok, wasn't sure if that was allowed! And I have added the shoes and my costume jewelry to the suitcase (not that it took up much space) and the bubba mugs. Still a lot of space!
Girl, get to over to Target right now! Tons of inexpensive, cute flats! Not sure when you leave, but another supercute option is a beaded toe thong or foot thong. You'd be barefoot, but decorated. Try Amazon and Etsy.
Macy's has Clarks that about $40 each. They have about 5 different colors and of course REALLY nice Sperry's that run about $70 a pair. They may be a little more than the average flip flop but they last almost a life time. They are well worth the price. I have 5 pairs of the Clarks which are super comfy and I've never slipped with them and 2 pairs of the Sperry's...both are great and stylish.
