Sorry for this question which has been raised too many times to count, but.....Can you really NOT wear nice dress shorts to some of the specialty restaurants? We will be going to Temptations for the 5th time 10/3, and I dont ever remember wearing long pants to any of them, and we've been to all of them several times. Last time we were there was Feb 2008. Did anything change since then? We are bringing 2 new couples and we want to make sure everyone packs accordingly. Any help is appreciated.

You can sit outside at the Italian, but I don't think you can sit outside at the Asian.

The bottom line is that you need to bring a pair of khakis, and you will be fine.

Thanks all. This must be a change from the last time I was there.
Now, as for the ladies, I would assume a skirt or long pants? No shorts for them either? Sandals but no flip flops? Can you imagine the backlash if I didnt tell the 2 new ladies how to pack? Thanks again to all.

I have never seen ladies turned away, although I have seen lots of eye candy at both of the specialty restaurants :D :D

I wore dress shorts to the Seafood as did Mr. Angibaby and we were allowed but he was turned away at the Asian with dress shorts. We ended up getting a pair of jeans for him at Walmart cause I wasnt missing out on the Itaian. Bring one pair of long pants and wear them whenever you go to dinner, then change. Personally it was one of my biggest peves about the resort as the Mr looked way nicer in his dress shorts than he did in his Walmart jeans and tennies.

best to grab a $15 pair of khakis from wallyworld before you go. I pack 'em for that reason only.

We have to agree with all the above but we did see a guy in the Italian with sandals on. He was a friend of a friend of the manager tho. Less than 2 minutes later the manager turned someone away in sandals who looked a hell of a lot smarter than the other guy.
I was forced to wear trainers as I didn't take any shoes but these looked dreadful compared to my nice sandals.
